Frequently asked questions

Bookings and prices
How much does it cost to book Villa Los Pichies?

Rates depend on the length of the session and the season. All details are on Rates and availability.

When is high season?

March to September and from 22 December to 8 January. The rest of the year, October to February, is low season.

Are there any discounts?

Yes, several discounts can be combined (longer bookings, small groups and outdoor-only use). The percentages are on Rates and availability.

What does the price include?

Use of the villa indoors and outdoors, use of the kitchen, tableware and appliances, high-speed Wi-Fi, climate control and a light final cleaning. It does not include catering or service staff, tableware and waste removal, deep cleaning or laundry (only available with accommodation); if any of these are needed, the cost is deducted from the deposit.

How do you book the villa?

Through the contact form, stating dates, type of booking and number of people. Once availability and the quote are confirmed, the contract is signed and the first part of the amount is paid. The rest is paid fifteen days before the date. Full details on Rates and availability.

Can a booking be cancelled?

Bookings are non-refundable. Cancelling more than fifteen days in advance forfeits the booking amount. Less than fifteen days, the full amount is forfeited.

Is a deposit required?

Yes, a refundable deposit. It is paid fifteen days before the date and refunded within 3 days of checking the villa. The amount is on Rates and availability.

Can the villa be visited before booking?

Yes, by appointment. The outdoor and indoor areas can also be previewed in the video walkthroughs.

Can the villa be rented for a holiday?

Yes. Availability and prices are on Airbnb, and booking directly through the form applies a discount on the Airbnb price. Shoot and event rates do not apply to holiday stays.

Shoots and production
What can be filmed at Villa Los Pichies?

Film and television, commercials, music videos, fashion and product sessions, interviews and content for brands and social media. All the practical information is on the tech specs.

What permits are needed to shoot at the villa?

To shoot inside the property (interiors, terraces, garden and pool), the owner's written authorisation is enough, included in the contract. To occupy the public road, shoot in the residential estate or fly a drone, the production company must apply for the relevant permits. Civil liability insurance is mandatory.

What insurance does the production need?

Valid civil liability insurance covering damage to the property and to third parties, a copy of which is sent before the shoot. Technical crew, equipment and staff are the sole responsibility of the production company.

How many people fit on a shoot?

Around 20 people indoors and up to 50 outdoors. For larger crews, please get in touch.

How is access for crew and vehicles?

The entrance is at street level and step-free, which makes loading and unloading easy. There are two parking spaces on the plot and free street parking, on a dead-end street. Trucks can park on the street as long as they do not block the way. More details on Location.

Can trucks reach the villa?

Yes, trucks and vans can reach the door, with an unloading area at the entrance and step-free access.

Where is equipment stored?

In a large storeroom under the pool, which can be locked.

Can you record direct sound?

Yes. It is a private residential estate with no traffic, planes or construction, and the pool pump and air conditioning can be switched off.

What electrical supply does the villa have?

Three-phase, 12 kW contracted (about 4 kW per phase), with a sectorised indoor switchboard and another outdoor one by the pool. For high-consumption lighting, a generator can be installed in the laundry area.

What is the natural light like?

The villa faces south and receives natural light throughout the day. Early morning and late afternoon bring soft light, well suited to interiors. From mid-morning to early afternoon, the pool and terraces receive the strongest light.

What locations does the villa offer?

Contemporary white architecture, 360° views over the Mediterranean and the Sierra de Mijas, infinity pool, several terraces and a 2,000 sqm plot. In a single location, clean editorial shots, family scenes, lifestyle content and night ambiences coexist. They can be seen in the gallery.

Can the furniture be moved?

Yes: furniture can be moved, pictures taken down and your own props brought in, as long as everything is returned to its original state.

Does the production have exclusive use of the villa?

The villa hosts one production at a time, with no other guests or public. During daytime sessions, the owner may remain in a reserved area without interfering with the work. With the 24-hour session or a stay of several days with accommodation, the villa is at the crew's disposal.

In which languages are productions attended to?

Spanish, English and Italian.

What happens if it rains?

The villa is not responsible for weather conditions. Checking the forecast before booking is recommended.

Events and celebrations
What events can be held at Villa Los Pichies?

Corporate events, team building, training and retreats, and intimate family celebrations, including small weddings. Pets are admitted only with prior authorisation.

Are there noise rules?

Yes. Loud music is not allowed from 22:00 to 8:00, out of respect for the neighbours of the residential estate. During the day, music must be kept at a moderate volume.

Can catering be brought in or the kitchen used?
